nanoplus, Germany, launches superluminescent diodes (SLD) in the spectral band from 760 nm to 2900 nm. The devices complement nanoplus well-known product portfolio of Distributed Feedback Lasers (DFB).

They used their expertise as technology leader for DFB lasers to create broadband light sources in the near infrared. For more than 20 years, we have been manufacturing DFB and Fabry Perot (FP) lasers with excellent performance - the same technology is used for our SLDs. The new SLD devices combine the proven beam quality of nanoplus DFB lasers with the large spectrum of LEDs.

The figures show the typical spectrum and power-voltage-current curves of a 2170 nm SLD.

nanoplus SLDs are available in various free space and fiber coupled packages with or without TEC cooling. For smooth installation select our plug and play module. It consists of an SLD mounted on a TO66 header, which is built in a heatsink with collimation optics.

nanoplus design and characterise their SLDs to fulfil your particular requirements. Read more about the technical specifications of nanoplus’ SLDs on their website and contact them to discuss your specifications!

Since nanoplus was founded in 1998, they have set the standards for ultra-precise Distributed Feedback Lasers in the gas sensing industry. From 760 nm to 6500 nm nanoplus supply DFB lases at any customised wavelength with a precision of 0.1 nm. Mainly used for tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy (TDLAS) the devices facilitate highly selective, sensitive and robust gas detection systems in industry and research. Even in remote and harsh environments they measure trace gases in situ, in real time and up to ppb precision. More than 30,000 installations worldwide prove the reliability of nanoplus’ DFB lasers. Typical applications include moisture detection in gas pipelines, emission control of greenhouse gases or breath gas analysis.

Consistent quality of nanoplus’ lasers is guaranteed by the high degree of automation at their two production sites. Both facilities are located in Germany and apply a strict ISO 9001:14001 certified quality management system.

nanoplus value the close cooperation with their customers. Nearly 80 % of their devices are more or less customer-specific. As a fully vertically integrated company, nanoplus control the whole process chain from design to packaging and are flexible to adapt their processes to customer specifications.
