MANILA: Roads trips are more about the journey than the destination, and what better way to enjoy the long drive with the BR-V, Honda Cars Philippines (HCPI) asks. The local Honda distributor enumerates seven reasons why the Honda BR-V is perfect for road trips.

Exterior-wise, the Honda BR-V exhibits a fine mixture of sporty and rugged appointments. Chrome embellishments and an extensive application of black cladding give the BR-V that SUV vibes. It also comes with 201 millimeters of ground clearance that rewards drivers with better visibility and added confidence on the road.

Other notable design cues include its large pair of headlights that house projector halogens. Opting for the BR-V 1.5 V CVT, on the other hand, adds LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) for enhanced style and functionality. Standard across both the BR-V 1.5 V CVT and 1.5 S CVT variants are a set of 16-inch alloy wheels wrapped in 195/60 tires.

The Honda BR-V might have the appeal of an SUV though it still boasts the practical traits of an MPV. This then translates to a generous amount of cabin space for seven passengers and cargo.  Folding the BR-V's third row opens 470 liters of space, while 520-liters is afforded with second row seats up.

Nowadays, infotainment displays have become one of the main selling points among tech-savvy  customers, HCPI said. Thankfully, the BR-V comes standard with a seven-inch touchscreen display that supports various multimedia functions such as Bluetooth, Audio Streaming and USB input. Opting for the range-topping 1.5 V CVT variant will also add access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless phone integration.

HCPI plugged that the BR-V is currently the most powerful in its class, thanks to the vehicle's 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine paired with Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT). This combo produces a healthy 120 PS and 145 Nm of torque, making it an ideal powertrain for highway drives.

Also, not only does it excel in terms of power, but the BR-V also attained an impressive fuel economy rating of 22.58kpl, allowing less frequent trips to the gas station during long road trips.

In line with its 2050 goal of achieving a collision-free society, the Honda BR-V packs the following standard safety and security features:

Honda BR-V buyers will also be treated with quality and low-cost aftersales services. To offer them convenience as well as savings, owners will only be required to have their unit undergo two Periodic Maintenance Service (PMS) visits a year.
