Extractor and filter hoods for the kitchen are indispensable household appliances, but they are rarely considered as design elements, to be evaluated with care and attention. Protagonists in the kitchen (and not only), they play a crucial role during the preparation of food, eliminating vapours and unpleasant odours that exhale from the preparation of food, with the function of implementing perfect air recycling. New generation extractor hoods are also furnishing elements: they no longer weigh down the environment, but integrate into the kitchen design with lightness and dynamism.

Falmec's new Elements collection follows this attitude: it goes beyond the confines of traditional extraction by interpreting the element in an innovative key, which now becomes part of a modular, multifunctional architecture totally in line with the style of the kitchen. Monolith, Shelf and Air Wall are the three modular systems of Elements: innovative concepts that conceal the technological components within elements that are unique in design and perfectly integrated into the furnishing project.

Monolith is a unitary, elongated element designed to rest on the worktop, meeting various needs with a single solution. The system consists of a 90 cm suction element and 30, 60 or 90 cm accessory storage modules, allowing for a functional and customised set-up. The result is a convenient equipped channel that can accommodate ladles, spices, knives, chopping boards and other utensils, as well as electrical sockets for a kitchen to be experienced in total practicality.

Shelf is a real vacuum shelf. Thanks to the unique Multi-Air technology, the suction body is extremely thin and incorporated in a shelf structure of only 10 cm, equipped with a removable veil, to increase the suction capacity. The "hood" element can be enriched with additional 60 and 90 cm modules, to configure different furnishing compositions, creating a hanging system that opens up new open design spaces. The structure is made of black painted steel and a black satinised aluminium profile that wraps around the structure both frontally and laterally, defining a clean volume.

Air Wall vertically integrates the extraction into an exclusive white backlit tempered glass panel, transforming the back of the kitchen into a functional surface that sucks in fumes and at the same time illuminates the space with pleasant ambient light. The panel's magnetic system also allows for the addition of functional accessories, which are also magnetic - such as tablet holders, spice racks and small shelves - allowing the user to place them anywhere on the surface. The extraction is made possible by a flap opening, which can be opened manually, allowing the extraction of fumes and access to the control of the 'hood' functions. The motor, positioned in the base of the kitchen, has been designed to have limited overall dimensions and high efficiency. The new Elements will be available from early 2023.
